Dr Fisher is an experienced and passionate teacher. She is currently the clarinet teacher at the Australian National University, teaching both tertiary and pre-tertiary students. From 2011-2015 she taught music theory and music history to undergraduate students at The Juilliard School as a doctoral teaching fellow. She has an interest in instrumental pedagogy techniques, with experience in both Kodaly and Suzuki methods.
Dr Fisher has maintained a successful private clarinet studio since 2003. She enjoys teaching both children and adults, and welcomes clarinet students of all levels. In addition, Dr Fisher is qualified to teach music theory, music history, music appreciation and aural skills, and is available to teach these subjects to music lovers of all ages. All private lessons are tailored to the student's abilities, goals, and individual learning preferences.
Dr Fisher has conducted workshops and masterclasses at schools in New York, Rome, Prague, Beijing, Chengdu, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Hong Kong, and Melbourne and is available for bookings. She also teaches workshops as a Visiting Artist through the Juilliard-Nord Anglia partnership.
